Boot’n & Shoot’n Postponed: COVID-19

Boot'n & Shoot'n Nation, it's Stewart Hunter.

We are postponing Boot'n & Shoot'n. Unfortunately, with the coronavirus and everything that's going on, it doesn't make any health sense to get everybody together.

So, first, thank you for everybody's support through the years, and we look forward to having Boot'n & Shoot'n this calendar year.

Stay tuned to our social sites, and we'll keep you updated.

Everybody stay safe. Thank you.

Ray Johnston Band performing at Boot’n & Shoot’n 2020

We are excited to announce that The Ray Johnston Band will be performing at Boot’n & Shoot’n 2020!

Ray is a former Dallas Mavericks point guard who was struck a devastating blow after being diagnosed with leukemia in 2005.

After 5 ½ years in remission, Ray decided to put his efforts into his lifelong love for music.

With the release of his album, “No Bad Days,” Ray began a full-time touring cycle.

Since then, he has scored 7 singles on the Texas Music Chart, and over a quarter of a million streams online.

Now, he is bringing his unique blend of country and rock to Boot’n & Shoot’n! Each year, one of the most exciting parts of our entire event is having a live band that captures the energy and spirit of the event. Boot’n & Shoot’n 2020 is gearing up to be our most exciting year yet! You won’t want to miss it.

Ted Nugent gives Signed Guitar and Custom Rifle to Boot’n & Shoot’n

PLANO, TX – The motor city madman himself, Ted Nugent is a well-known figure within the hunting and gun community. He is also one of the most vocal and proud supporters of our military and veterans.

Last year, Ted Nugent was gracious enough to present us with two incredible auction items:

1) A signed Epiphone SG with carrying case, as well as

2) A Ted Nugent custom P-51 Carbon rifle by Patriot Weaponry

Rifle specs:

  • All hardware is all titanium, including bolt carrier, etc.
  • Ted Nugent logo and stickman laser engraved on receiver
  • Custom laser cut Patriot Case with Ted Nugent’s logo inside

These two auction items were generously donated and raised over $20,000 for veterans!

The Most Patriotic Day in Texas is Back! Boot’n & Shoot’n 2020.

Boot’n & Shoot’n is gearing up for our ninth annual event! Join us April 8th & 9th for two of the most action-packed days you will experience all year.

Last year, we were able to raise $1 million dollars which helped fund veteran organizations, including Brain Treatment Foundation, an organization that provides comprehensive integrated treatments not offered by the VA to address combat veterans’ unique brain injuries.

Honoring fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation has always been a tenet of Boot’n & Shoot’n. In the past, we have honored fallen heroes including Chris Kyle, Glenn Doherty, and Tyrone Woods. This year we will be continuing this tradition.

Since 2012, we have brought together a community of veterans and our partners for two days of clay shooting and fundraising. We look forward to this year’s event: bigger and better than ever.

At 10:00am, it began raining, and everyone scrambled for shelter under the roof just a stone’s throw from the stage. About 20 minutes later, the rain slowed.

The first round of shooting is ready to get back under way, as announced by Stewart Hunter.

Auction items are being prepared, and the items were moved under shelter from the rain in time.

We are pleased to report that the Boot’n & Salute’n Dinner was a smashing success!

If you haven’t made it out yet, there is still time.

Lunch by Babe’s, live concert by Jeff Crosby, and the live auction are still to come!
